The sea always had a strong influence on me. You can never tame It; you must always respect it, never challenge It, and admire its majesty. Every time I stand before it, I am almost hypnotized by its threatening or reassuring motion; it almost seems to speak to me. This painting is based on a work by Jacques Ives Cousteau, a multifaceted figure, navigator, writer, and more. What I have in common whit him is definitely a love of the sea.
