The artwork presents a surreal setting unfolding over a section of Florence’s famous Ponte Vecchio, which, like in a dream, seems neither to awaken nor to sleep. The large broken clock dominates the scene as a symbol of suspended time, while the figures emerging from the soft shadows appear to interpret its mystery.
I created this painting using oil to explore the unstoppable flow of time and its not entirely comprehensible balance. Styles such as Expressionism and Surrealism allowed me to portray the interplay between the tangible and the ethereal — the metaphysical realm — where enigmatic portraits merge into a narrative that unfolds beyond ordinary perception.
This work evokes deep reflection and will serve as a focal point of energy and mysterious dialogue within your home.
