"Courage" is a work that celebrates the inner strength needed to cross the boundaries of identity, welcome vulnerability, and embrace the mystery of existence. Spiritual courage is not the absence of fear, but the sacred act of asking profound questions while knowing that the answers may never come. It is the choice to remain open to the invisible, to pain, to death—and to the silent beauty that inhabits every moment.

In this powerful mixed-media photo-painting, Sarah Arensi uses gold leaf to paint her own portrait, transforming herself into a contemporary icon of feminine strength. Gold, an alchemical and spiritual element, symbolizes the elevation of women as guardians of virtue, embodiments of the divine in everyday life.
