LA PIAZZA E LA STORIA

The painting depicts the Palazzo della Signoria, an emblem of Florentine Renaissance beauty, highlighting a jewel located in that square: “The Rape of the Sabine Women” by Giambologna. History — as well as the present — is always subject to a higher judgment that looms over the scene with its austere gaze.

In my work, I played with oil to weave a surreal atmosphere and express the historical depth and enigmatic interplay between past and present. The figurative style dances with symbolism, creating a space beyond time. Each element represents a fragment of intertwined stories, suggesting endless interpretations.
