Oil on canvas
Painting in which a glimpse of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence becomes part of the scene of a meeting between two people, of whom only a portion of their faces is visible. Playing cards scattered by the wind dominate the work, almost hiding the two figures, to represent a symbolism of the transitory substance of encounters and goodbyes in life, founded often by the constant scattering of ourselves, our feelings, our passions. I employed the essence of expressionism and surrealist dreams to capture an encounter beyond time. Soft oils blend to evoke faces that tell stories of the soul, gazes that intertwine with the metaphysics of being. This artwork releases a symphony of emotions, a mysterious dialogue between reality and fantasy, projecting the viewer into an ethereal and enchanted reality.
The artwork, including its frame, measures 66 cm in width, 86 cm in height, and 3.5 cm in depth.
