"Devotion" is an act of sacred love. It is the total surrender of the heart to that which is greater than the self, a deep feeling of loyalty and belonging to the invisible, the infinite, the divine. In this inner state, everyday life is transformed into an offering, and every gesture is charged with spiritual meaning.
True devotion is not passivity, but ardent and constant presence: it is inhabiting the “Great Mystery” in every breath, it is cultivating trust even in the unknown, it is seeing the Spirit as a living reality in the world.
YOU ARE DEVOTION
This work is a mixed media photo-painting in which Sarah Arensi intervenes on her own portrait with the application of gold leaf, a symbol of purity and transcendence. The artist represents the female figure as an icon of incarnate sacredness, guardian of every virtue in the flow of earthly life. In this image, the woman becomes a channel of light, a manifestation of devotion that illuminates and elevates, merging spirit and matter in perfect harmony.
