Stefano Cerioli

Stefano Cerioli (b. 1966, Milan) is a graphic designer by birth and an artist by (pro)vocation. His career began in photography and publishing, evolving into a multifaceted practice that bridges visual art and art direction. Imagination, creativity, and freedom are the constants that define his work, while his projects often reflect a bold, experimental spirit rooted in both design culture and alternative subcultures.

Over the years, Cerioli has exhibited extensively in Italy and abroad. Highlights include participation in the 2013 Venice Biennale (Padiglione Tibet), the Brooklyn Biennial Submissional (New York), and numerous exhibitions at notable Italian galleries such as Galleria Consadori, Galleria Seno, and Galleria Bottega dell’Argento. His solo exhibitions include HORROR VACUI – Who’s Afraid of the Space Between the Lines and GOLD, SILVER and WHEELS, alongside a wide range of group shows and special projects.

Since 2017, he has been a regular guest at Filler in Milan, the most important convention dedicated to punk/hardcore/skate artists and DIY culture, and has twice taken part in the Skate and Surf Film Festival. The same year, together with Michele Guidarini and Thomas “Ray” Raimondi, he co-founded Kill Your Idols, an itinerant punk art project that has been featured in numerous exhibitions.

Based in Milan, Cerioli continues to explore the intersections of art, design, and underground aesthetics, presenting his work at galleries, design weeks, and alternative art platforms both in Italy and internationally.
