Denise Recchi

Denise Recchi (born 1992) is originally from Civitanova Marche, a small town on the Adriatic coast of central Italy. At a certain point in her life, she decided to leave her office job and devote herself entirely to drawing and painting, a passion she had cultivated since childhood. In 2018, she moved to Florence to attend the art school “La Bottega dell’Arcimboldo.”
She then began her career as an artist,
working almost exclusively with graphite in the beginning. Later, she attended for a short period the international school “Idea Academy” in Rome, where she explored digital drawing techniques, though traditional art remains her true vocation. In her continuous personal and artistic growth-including frequent workshops abroad and, more recently, university studies in the Faculty of Humanities (Cultural Heritage track)-she began experimenting with pastels and oil paints, developing softer and lighter portrait techniques, less focused on perfection and detail. Alongside her figurative work, which includes still lifes and various subjects, she explores geometric abstraction, approaching art through philosophical and alchemical themes, constantly questioning higher sensory spheres and other realities.
She exhibited her work in 2020 at “La Bottega dell’Arcimboldo.”
She participated in the “Premio Nocivelli” art competition and in several editions of the international “Luxembourg Art Prize”organized by the Pinacothèque Musée of Luxembourg.
In the following years, she hosted several private exhibitions at her Civitanova Marche studio, in a room dedicated to her work.
