This painting was born from the artist's constant introspection.
Often, for the artist, the thought that precedes the creation of a painting and leads to its realization is more powerful than the painting itself. The artist is not afraid to experiment and venture into uncharted territory. 
Montanari digs into his own thoughts and memories and ultimately gives them concreteness and materiality. 
The result is a set of fragments with contrasting tones that alternate in an orderly and sometimes chaotic way. A bit like some memories to which we manage to give a well-defined shape while others get confused and mixed up with each other.
